Evgeny Bobryshev joins AX World Tour!

Russian rider will join the strongest ever European line-up for 2018!

The Power Maxed Arenacross World Tour is excited to announce that MXGP rider and Russian MX2 Champion; Evgeny Bobryshev will be joining the league of world class riders for the 2018 Arenacross World Tour with RFX Suzuki.

Bobryshev (aka ‘Bobby’) has just finished up racing a full season in the 2017 FIM World Motocross Championship, achieving some epic podium finishes, against the world’s best outdoor riders. He has competed in the world championship since 2008 and in 2015 he achieved his career best of 3rd in the world in the MXGP class. No stranger to the intense Arenacross style of racing, Bobby actually competed in an Irish round back in 2010 and won it!

Bobby’s speed and gritty determination means he is not afraid to give it all or nothing and get loose on track. Off-track, he is one of the nicest riders you will ever meet, and we are sure he will be an AX fan favourite!

Will Bobryshev be able to hold his own against the strong European line-up? You’ll have to get yourself to one of our awesome shows to find out!

Evgeny Bobryshev
“I am really happy to have made a deal with Suzuki England to race in the Arenacross World Tour for 2018. I have known Neil Prince for a long time and I am looking forward to working with him. I actually raced one round in Ireland in 2010 which I won, and it was a lot of fun. I was in a unique position where I could choose to ride in whatever I wanted, and I decided that this was what I wanted to do. It is going to be so different to MXGP as the racing is only done in one day! Which to be honest means I will probably enjoy riding the bike a lot more and having a bit of fun with it. I am planning to start riding on the bike next week and get focused. I will be ready for it!”

Neil Prince- Team Manager
“Bobryshev is arguably still one of the best riders in the world. We were lucky enough to get him to come and ride with us for Arenacross. He will do a really excellent job of showcasing just how good the Suzuki is and I am totally motivated to work with him. We actually did an Arenacross round together in 2010, he has always wanted to do this and now he is a unique position where he can do this, and we are happy to support him. It fits in really well with us coming together with Race FX to form the team and now we just can’t wait to get started!”

Matt Bates- Arenacross
“I know that Arenacross is going from strength to strength, but if I asked myself when we started the tour in 2013, would a top three MXGP rider want to race our series, I would have questioned why. But the fact is that with over £250k in prize money and a series that offers so fun to riders and so much awareness for brands, maybe the face of Motocross is changing?  I’m sure I speak for us all, but Bobryshev is not only fast, but incredibly tough, and for that reason I think he’s perfectly matched to our series and we all welcome him indoors and can’t wait to see him race against the strongest ever European Line Up”.
