De derde en laatste wedstrijd van het FIM wereldkampioenschap 250SX is gewonnen door Max Anstie. De Brit wist in Melbourne alle drie de wedstrijden te winnen. Daarbij is de Honda-rijder de nieuwe wereldkampioen! In het Marvel Stadium werd de Canadees Cole Thompson (5-2-2) tweede voor Luke Clout (2-4-3). Shane McElrath verliest de titel maar wordt toch tweede in de eindstand voor Clout die Maxime Desprey van het podium duwt in het kampioenschap.
