De eerste proef voor het Italiaans kampioenschap zit erop. Tim Gajser won beide reeksen zonder enige tegenstand in een modderig Maggiora. Jeremy Van Horebeek eindigt als tweede in de rangschikking.
MX1
Gajser sprintte als eerste weg in reeks 1 en koos het ruime sop. De concurrentie zag hem pas terug aan de finish. Van Horebeek trok meteen naar de tweede stek om deze te consolideren aan de finish. Alberto Ferato werd derde. Ook de tweede reeks was voor de Sloveen een koud kunstje want opnieuw startte hij op kop om niemand in zijn spoor te dulden. Veteraan David Philippaerts startte op de derde plaats terwijl Van Horebeek wat minder goed wegraakte aan het hek.
Hij moest de eerste ronde aanvatten op P8. De Beta-rijder trok dan resoluut ten aanval op een ietwat drogere baan dan tijdens de eerste reeks. Stelselmatig schoof hij op tot hij in het wiel belande van Alessandro Lupino die op de tweede plek reed. De reeks was echter een ronde tekort voor The Jerre en moest deze verdienstelijke inhaalrace besluiten op de derde plaats. Tim Gajser won de reeks voor Lupino. Philippaerts liet zien dat hij nog altijd de snelheid heeft en werd mooi vierde in de eindstand. Alessio Chiodi kon de race afsluiten als dertiende.
MX2
In de MX2 klasse nam GasGas-rijder Kevin Horgmo de kopstart en bleef lange tijd aan de leiding maar moest uiteindelijk Ruben Fernandez voor laten gaan. De Spanjaard won de heat voor Horgmo en Gianluca Facchetti. De snelle Fantic-piloot Nicholas Lapucci zat in de top vijf maar schoof tweemaal onderuit in de blubber en moest tevreden zijn met een elfde plaats.
In reeks twee schoot Gianluca Facchetti als een komeet uit de startblokken met in zijn spoor Horgmo en Fernandez. Na enkele bochten nam Horgmo de leiding over maar moest die even later weer aan Fernandez laten. Facchetti moest na enkele ronden lossen terwijl Lapucci druk op de ketel zette door in ronde zes de maat te nemen van Horgmo die toen op plek twee reed. Lapucci gaat in ronde tien resoluut in de aanval en bestookt de leidersplaats van Fernandez maar de Spanjaard is taai. De twee wisselen regelmatig van positie maar uiteindelijk kiest Fernandez eieren voor zijn geld. Tweetaktrijder Lapucci wint de reeks en Fernandez de wedstrijd.
De tweede proef voor het Italiaans Prestige kampioenschap zal plaatsvinden op 25 april in Mantova.
